Week 21: EYES!

Sorry in advance for all the corny eye vs. I jokes.
Eye See You! I origonally planned on doing butterflies this week but I thought eyes would be less time consuming, boy was I wrong! It took at least three different polishes for each eye color. I did Blue, Brown, and Hazel eyes. I actually really love how they turned out.

It's amazing how just adding a few lines of different colors can add so much depth to solid colored circles. So how could I improve them, any feedback? Eye'll see you next week!

Week 20: Birthday!

So I have a very good reason for posting late; at exactly 12:30 this morning I turned 18! That's right I am now a legal adult, I can vote, I can buy loterry tickets, I can do whatever I want. And since I'm an adult I can cover my nails in glitter! They kinda remind me of those Miu Miu sparkle pumps (God those are soo cute, I think I found my birthday wish!) Glitter nails are totally fun and seem to hold up better than my studs and sequins did although my nails do have a couple bald spots now.  So does glitter just scream birthday or what? If you have any ideas for birthday nails let me know!

Week 19: Studs

This week I opted for some badass metal on a sleek black background. I decided to place the studs in a line down the middle (an attempt at stud mohawks.) It really didn't work, especially because my pointer and pinkie nails weren't long enough for lines, but I think they look cool in a cyborg manicure type way. I just hope they last. Last weeks sequins made it only 2 days however, this week I smartly used a top coat. I'll let you know how it holds up.

Week 18: Sequins

This week I did sequins. I used a metalic copper base-coat and then stuck orange sequins on top. I actually really love the color scheme I think it looks rather sophisticated for a manicure that involves glueing sequins to my nails (it also looks great with my skin tone.)

Maybe if I did it again I would try to place the sequins in some sort of pattern, but I kind of like the hodge podge look. I think the sequins add some fun sparkle and texture. I'm just waiting to see how long they last.

Let me know what you think sophisticated lady or shimmery tramp?
